I was raised in St. Louis, but have lived in Corpus Christi since 1982. I received a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi in 2002, a Master of Science Degree in Counseling, also from TAMUCC, in 2011, and a Master of Science Degree in Special Education from TAMUCC in 2015. I have worked with clients during internships at the University Clinic and Early Childhood Education Center, as well as at Blunt Middle School in Aransas Pass, and most recently at Flour Bluff ISD High School.
I am retired from the Federal Government, where I served on the National Critical Incident Response Team, helping employees heal after a traumatic experience. I am also retired from teaching, most recently as a Special Education Teacher and Case Manager for FBISD students. I have experience adapting and teaching social and emotional skills to students with autism and learning disabilities. I also have experience helping students and families dealing with trauma.
